For the culmination of my thesis work on the Selachii project, I designed an entire exhibition space around the Selachii. The intention of the exhibit was to keep in line with the aesthetic of a seaside home, someplace that the researcher from my journals could have theoretically inhabited. I strove to keep things as authentic as possible- the driftwood was all salvaged from a river near my home, the books and artifacts on the tables were all antiques, et cetera.
My allotted space was the underside of a stairway, and a small portion of the exterior of the stairs as well. I did my best to utilize the interior and exterior spaces to transform my project into an immersive experience.
